Cox married DJ Jon Carter in October 2001. They welcomed a daughter on June 13, 2004. The couple made their divorce announcement in December 2005.

Cox announced her second pregnancy on her BBC Radio 1 weekend show on September 16, 2007. An infant boy was born on March 10, 2008.
