On January 28, 1987, Adekunle Kosoko was born into the Kosoko Royal Family of Lagos State, Nigeria.
Adekunle Gold developed an interest in and passion for music as a child, listening to songs by King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey.
As a result, he moved on to realize his aspirations by creating his debut song, Sade, in 2002, when he was 15 years old.
That song was a cover of One Direction’s The Story Of My Life.

He disbanded a band he formed with a classmate in high school after writing his first song at the age of 15. He went solo in 2014.
He was dubbed “King of Photoshop” on social media after he expertly modified and released a photo of himself cuddling Tiwa Savage.
On December 19, 2014, he released Sade, his first official song, which he wrote and sang.
