Alex Chamwada Career

Alex began his media career as a volunteer with the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation in 1994. (KBC). In 1996, he departed to work as a media liaison and marketing executive for a charity dedicated to the promotion of children’s science publications in Africa.

He volunteered at Trans World Radio from 1995 until 1998. Trans World Radio is a worldwide Evangelical Christian media distributor with a long history in Kenya through one of its subsidiaries.

He joined Kenya Broadcasting Network in August 1999 and worked there for a period before joining Royal Media Services in 1999.

He left to join Kenya Television Network as a senior reporter in 2001, and in 2005, he was elevated to the political editor.

He returned to Royal Media Services as an Associate editor in 2008. He developed as a journalist at Citizen TV, where he covered a variety of political subjects. He resigned from Royal Media Services in 2014. He announced it on his website.

Alex established his own production firm, chams Media Limited, after resigning. Chams is a communication consulting organization that, among other things, produces TV programs. The “The Chamwada Report” and “Daring Abroad” programs have been contributing content to KTN since 2015. The Chamwada report focuses on current events and development issues, whilst Daring Overseas shares the stories of Kenyans who have successfully established a life abroad.

He declared the end of his contract with KTN on March 31, 2020. The two shows will no longer be broadcast on KTN, but will continue to be broadcast on their website and YouTube channel. He expressed his gratitude to KTN for the incredible adventure they’d taken together.

He said the following when he resigned from KTN:

“With effect from April 1, 2020, our productions, The Chamwada Report, a current affairs show on development concerns, and Daring Overseas, a series featuring Kenyans living abroad, will no longer appear on KTN.” We’ll let you know where we’re going next in due time.”
