He also interned at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in his final year of law school. He joined Bloom, Hergott, Diemer, Rosenthal, Laviolette, Feldman, Schenkman and Goodman, a Beverly Hills-based entertainment law firm, the same year he was admitted to practice law in California. His area of practice is transactional representation of writers, producers, directors, and actors in television and film. Knapp Schwarzenegger joined Bloom Hergott as a partner in 2003.

On the eighth season of the Mark Burnett-created NBC program The New Celebrity Apprentice, Knapp Schwarzenegger advised his uncle, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, alongside Tyra Banks, Warren Buffett, Jessica Alba, and Steve Ballmer. Knapp Schwarzenegger is also known for being an active investor and shareholder in a number of startup businesses, including Kreisel Electric, a pioneer in e-mobility, and Padre Azul, a multi-award-winning premium tequila brand.
