Min Yoon-gi known professionally by his stage names Suga and Agust D, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and record producer.
He made his debut in 2013 as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, which is managed by Big Hit Entertainment. Agust D, his first mixtape as a solo artist, was initially released in 2016 and then again in 2018 for digital download and streaming. It peaked at number three on the Billboard World Albums Chart. D-Day, Suga’s first studio album, was released in 2023. Suga, who is a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association, is credited with writing and producing over 150 songs, including Suran’s “Wine,” which peaked at number two on the Gaon Music Chart and won Best R&B at the 2017 Melon Music Awards.
Min Yoon-gi was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea. As of 2024 he is 31 years old.
He was the younger of two sons and went to Taejeon Elementary, Gwaneum Middle, and Apgujeong High Schools.
He enrolled at Hanyang Cyber University in March 2019 for the Master of Business Administration program in Advertising and Media after earning a degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment from Global Cyber University.
